Image quality built into the platform
Alpinion's X+ imaging technology works at three levels, from the transducer to the processed image.
X+ FIT
Parallel beamforming that sends, receives, and processes a large amount of data, to improve contrast, uniformity, and resolution.
X+ Focus
Image processing that shows a clearer picture by bringing out true clinical information and suppressing noise and artifacts.
X+ Crystal Signature
An upgraded single-crystal transducer material with a new backing material, to cut signal loss and improve penetration and sensitivity.
See slow blood flow in small vessels
Two vascular modes that help with small, low-velocity vessels, such as in the kidney and the liver.

Ultrasound and X-ray, one team
Add ultrasound to the imaging you already run with us. Review ultrasound clips next to X-ray studies in Velion Cloud PACS, and go digital on the X-ray you own with a DR retrofit or a complete LG DR System.

Veterinary ultrasound questions
Which veterinary ultrasound system is right for my clinic?
It depends on where you scan and which exams you do most. The X-CUBE 90 and 70 with Elite are cart-based systems with the broadest feature set and probe choices, including shear wave elastography and attenuation imaging. The X-CUBE 60 is a cart-based system without those two modes. The X-CUBE i9 and i8 put a laptop display on a rolling stand, and the miniSono pairs a tablet with USB probes. Tell us your caseload and we will recommend a configuration.
Which probes are available?
Probe options differ by system, from abdominal and cardiac to high-frequency linear probes for superficial structures. The comparison table on this page lists the transducers offered with each model. We help you choose a probe set for your caseload before you buy.
Can ultrasound images be stored and shared with Velion Cloud PACS?
Velion Cloud PACS can review ultrasound clips alongside X-ray studies, with viewer links and original DICOM export. Ask us to confirm the setup for the system you are considering.
How much does a veterinary ultrasound system cost?
Pricing depends on the system, the probes you choose, and the configuration. Request a quote and we will send options for your clinic, installation included in Southern California.
Can I see an Alpinion ultrasound before I buy?
Yes. Contact us to arrange a demonstration, or see Alpinion ultrasound at Fetch dvm360 Long Beach, Dec 4–5, 2026, Table #314.
